Hardrockers get "W" over Wildcats, 88-52

RAPID CITY --- The South Dakota School of Mines men's basketball team broke a three game skid Friday night and returned the win column with a convincing victory over Johnson and Wales, 88-52, at the King Center in Rapid City. The win pushes the Hardrockers back to .500 with a 10-10 overall record.

Lady 'Rockers declaw Wildcats, 90-64

RAPID CITY --- The South Dakota School of Mines women's basketball team got off to another quick start Friday night and quickly took control of the game as the Lady Hardrockers defeated Johnson and Wales (Colo.), 90-64, at the King Center in Rapid City. The improved SDM's overall record to 11-8 on the season.

RAPID CITY --- It had been five years since the South Dakota School of Mines women's basketball team posted a "W" over its biggest and oldest rival Black Hills State, but the Lady Hardrockers delivered a victory Tuesday night over the Lady Yellow Jackets, 61-52, at the King Center in Rapid City.

RAPID CITY --- Fresh off a four-game road trip, the South Dakota School of Mines men's basketball team finally made it back to the confines of Goodell Gymnasium, but seemed a little sluggish as Black Hills State handed them a Tuesday-night defeat, 76-60, in Rapid City.

'Rocker track team makes Sunday trip to Gillette
GILLETTE, Wyo. --- The South Dakota School of Mines men's and women's indoor track and field teams took a rare Sunday road trip to Gillette, Wyo., for a meet cohosted by Black Hills State and Chadron State. The Hardrockers saw some good teams at the event and competed against a lot of solid opponents - along with BHSU and Chadron, Dickinson State, Montana State - Billings, Western State College (Colo.) and a host of unattached runners all participated in Sunday's events.

Lady 'Rockers hold on for win over DSU, 73-62
MADISON, S.D. - South Dakota Mines women's basketball team built a double-digit lead over Dakota State for the majority of the game Saturday afternoon at DSU Fieldhouse. The Trojans mounted a late rally late in the second-half before the Lady Hardrockers escaped for a 73-62 victory.
